This review is from: Pure Krav Maga - Self Defense Mastery (DVD)
From my point of view this DVD surely helps people a lot either you are a beginner or not. The DVD is objective, accurate and useful. Boaz makes techniques seem easy because he is explaining everything step by step so you can just spend some time at home, in front of computer, watching the DVD and practice.
If there are some information that Boaz omitted in DVD, you sure will find them in his book "Krav Maga - Use of the Human Body as a Weapon Philosophy and Application of Hand to Hand Fighting Training System".
The book has logic and is well structured. However, for people that look at details they will notice there are some commas in the wrong place or in certain places they are missing, but that's insignificant. What really matters is the valuable information you get reading the book.
Also some of the pictures are not so successful, but there are clear explanations and if somebody is following them, they should succeed. If you noticed, I used the word "explanations" on purpose; I could have used the word "instructions" but the author explains why we do that and why we do not do that.
Krav Maga is not about techniques. The book explains how to defend yourself in real situations instead of trying to make you improvise. Of course, you learn some techniques that are usable in real life situations, but in reality Krav Maga gives you the possibility to act out instinctively instead of thinking what was the technique you learnt when you have trained. Training just helps you to develop your reaction of time and when you will have to deal with real life situations, you will just follow your mind and know what to do.
However, reading Boaz's book and watching DVD will help you achieve the result you want. And an important thing I have to mention is that the book or DVD are not a reworking of earlier stuff. They are unique and will surprise even those people who are squeamish.
